How to upload programs using TYPE-A USB/Micro USB

HMIStudio can support the function of re-editing after uploading the original file data, which can facilitate users to operate on-site debugging or restore data when the original program is lost (if there is a password protection, you need to enter the password). Uploading data means uploading the configuration project in the touch screen to the PC, and the storage path is the save path of the selected uploaded file. Click the upload file button, the file starts to upload, and then the progress bar will display the progress of the upload. After the upload is completed, it will automatically close, indicating that the upload is completed.

The following settings need to be made before uploading:
Press and hold the touch area of the screen, and power on the touch screen at the same time. When the system box pops up, you can let go. The touch screen selects manual-USB mode (automatic or manual-USB mode can be set when uploading with Micro USB)

Prerequisites for uploading:

  1. HMI hardware supports USB interface 2. Upload is checked in the software parameter settings, as shown below

Below we will introduce two ways to upload the program:
The first case: no password protection is set, and the system parameter settings do not check whether the upload requires a password:

Click “Upload Data” in the Tools menu bar, or click the Upload Data button on the toolbar, and the system will pop up the following dialog box

Click the Select Path button to pop up the save path directory. After selecting the path, enter the corresponding file name, as shown in the figure

Select the model and path, then click Save. Then click Upload File to start uploading. After the upload is successful, the window will close automatically.

The second case: The premise is that the configuration has been downloaded to the touch screen, and whether the upload requires a password is checked in the system parameter settings: In this case, a password is required to upload the configuration in the touch screen.

After the model, storage path and name of the uploaded configuration are set, click Upload and a password input interface will pop up. The file can only be uploaded if the entered password is consistent with the password in the system parameter setting. The other operation steps are the same as the first case.
